Prescriptions for video games could be seen as a child’s dream medication —and now that dream could becoming reality. Amblyotech partnered with Ubisoft to develop the Amblyopad, a gaming system awaiting FDA approval to treat amblyopia.
Current methods of treating amblyopia (also known as lazy eyes) often involve wearing an eye patch for months. Noted for gaming titles such as Assassins Creed and Far Cry, Ubisoft has developed the games Dig Rush and Monster Burner to train eyes into coordination.
