Philips unveils new vital signs monitor
Philips Healthcare has released SureSigns VS2, which offers clinicians a spot-check vital-systems monitor for use with neonates, as well as pediatric and adult patients.

The vital signs monitoring system is developed for use in multiple care settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, private practices and rural clinics, Philips said. The VS2 is able to store up to 100 patient records at any given time allowing clinicians to view stored records for all patients or a selected patient, according to the company. In addition, a new optional wireless capability permits a user to transport the system from patient to patient to obtain needed data and securely transmit it to a patient's EMR.
